Drug Standardization Research Unit (DSRU) of RRIUM Srinagar was established in the year 1979, with a vision to promote high quality research leading to the development of method of manufacture (SOP’s), standardization of single and compound Unani formulations, their safety evaluation and isolation of phyto-constituents from medicinal plants of proven therapeutic value in Unani system of medicine. The  unit is  having state of art laboratories like phytochemistry lab, safety evaluation lab, histopathology lab which is  equipped with  high end  instruments  like HPLC, AAS, Biochemistry analyser, Heamatology analysers, UV-spectrophotometer etc.
