Awareness program on Pharmacovigilance at the Government Unani Hospital, Shalteng
On 24th October 2024, the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC) at the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar, organized an awareness program on pharmacovigilance at the Government Unani Hospital, Shalteng.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Farooq Naqshbandi, the Medical Superintendent (MS).
Dr. Arjumand Shah, Research Officer, delivered an in-depth lecture on the importance of monitoring adverse drug reactions (ADRs), reviewing relevant research papers on the subject. She emphasized the critical role of pharmacovigilance in ensuring patient safety and the need for healthcare professionals to effectively recognize and report ADRs.
Following her presentation, Dr. Iqra Rifat, M.D. Ilmul Advia, JRF (U), discussed ASU & H drugs and their adverse effects, providing practical training on completing ADR Reporting Forms. The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of doctors, paramedic staff, and students in the field of pharmacovigilance within Unani medicine.
