Biochemistry laboratory:

The Biochemistry Lab of RRIUM Srinagar is a NABL Medical (EL) laboratory, certified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, a constituent board of the Quality Council of India, since January 2024. The Biochemistry lab provides patient care through baseline biochemical tests and novel blood biomarker analysis to the research, outdoor, and inpatients of the institute. The lab supports all the clinical research programs and mobile camps. The biochemistry lab is well-equipped with fully automated instruments. Quality control is strictly implemented for accurate results and the lab participates External Quality Assurance Scheme (EQAS) with the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, CMC Vellore. Various tests are being done in the laboratory including Kidney function tests (KFT); Liver function tests (LFT); Lipid profile; Electrolytes; Serological tests; Immunological assays (Thyroid profile, LH, FSH etc); Inflammatory markers; ELIZA-based tests and evaluation of biomarkers for various clinical research programs and for General patient care. The biochemistry lab is also involved in conducting practical classes for PG students of Unani Medicine (Moalajat). It supports the research work of MD students of Unani Medicine (Moalajat) and Unani Pharmacology (Ilmuladviya). The lab is involved in many in-house & collaborative research projects with many research papers published in high-impact journals.
