Awareness program on the Pharmacovigilance of ASU & H drugs
The Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC) at the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar (NABH & NABL accredited), organized an insightful awareness program on the pharmacovigilance of ASU & H drugs for B.U.M.S students on 24th September 2024 at Kashmir Tibbia College Hospital and Research Centre, Shilvat, Bandipora.
Dr. Arjumand Shah, Research Officer, delivered a detailed lecture on observance of Patients' Safety Day, emphasizing the importance of pharmacovigilance in ensuring patient safety. Dr. Iqra Rifat, M.D. Ilmul Advia, JRF (U), followed with an engaging lecture on "ASU &H Drugs and their Adverse Effects," where she discussed the history and significance of pharmacovigilance in Ayush systems and explained common side effects of these drugs.
Dr. Iqra Rifat also led a hands-on training session on completing the ADR Reporting Form, providing participants with practical knowledge on accurately reporting adverse drug reactions. Nearly 80 students participated in the event, and IEC materials were distributed to support their learning.
