The six-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme for Teachers of Ilaj bil Tadbir commenced today with an inspiring inaugural ceremony.
The event was graced by:

2. Prof. Bashir Ahmad Ganai, Director CORD & Dean, Ayurvedic & Unani System of Medicine, J&K
3. Dr. Showkat Hussain Yatoo, Registrar, Ayurvedic & Unani System of Medicine, J&K
4. Mr. Tariq Ahmad Butt, Research Officer (Botany)
The programme began with a Welcome & Keynote Address by Prof. Shameem, who set the tone for the sessions ahead and underlined the importance of this academic initiative.
Delivering the Presidential Address, Dr. Ghazala Javed welcomed the Guests of Honour, resource persons, and participants from across the country. She highlighted the significance of Ilaj bil Tadbir, informed about the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developed for Hijama therapy, and emphasized CCRUM’s commitment to academic enrichment through CME programmes.
The Guests of Honour—Prof. Bashir Ahmad Ganai and Dr. Showkat Hussain Yatoo—also shared their valuable insights and words of encouragement.
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Tariq Ahmad Butt, Research Officer (Botany).
