Dr. Suheena Khanday, Research Officer (Unani), formally welcomed the committee members and participants. In her welcome address, she apprised the committee that a total of 10 research protocols were scheduled for review during the meeting. She highlighted that the proposed protocols covered a broad spectrum of research domains, including in vitro studies, preclinical studies, clinical trials, observational studies, and literary research, reflecting the institute’s multidisciplinary and evidence-based research approach.
Prof. M. S. Salim Khan delivered the introductory remarks and emphasized the significance of ethical, scientific, and methodologically sound research in advancing healthcare and traditional systems of medicine. He appreciated the efforts of the institute in fostering a robust research culture and encouraging innovative studies addressing contemporary health challenges.
During the meeting, the Principal Investigators presented their respective research protocols before the committee members for scientific evaluation and deliberation. The protocols were thoroughly discussed with regard to their objectives, methodology, feasibility, ethical considerations, and expected outcomes. The committee members provided valuable suggestions and recommendations aimed at enhancing the scientific quality and practical applicability of the proposed studies.
The meeting concluded with a constructive interaction among the experts and researchers, reaffirming the commitment of Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine Srinagar towards promoting high-quality research and evidence generation in the field of Unani medicine.
