Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the worlds leading infectious diseases, despite being preventable and curable.

The Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare launched the 100 Days Campaign for TB Elimination on 7th December 2024. The campaign aims to intensify TB awareness, diagnosis, and treatment adherence through a comprehensive and widespread approach. As part of this national initiative, the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar, has initiated a series of awareness programs, running from 7th December 2024 to 24th March 2025, to contribute to the nationwide drive.

On 13/01/2025 RRIUM Srinagar Organized a Special TB awareness programme for the O.P.D patients at the Institute.

The primary objective of this awareness campaign is to educate the public on the significance of early TB detection, the importance of timely treatment, and the role individuals and communities can play in eliminating TB. This program targets at-risk populations, health workers, and the general public to enhance knowledge and reduce the stigma surrounding the disease.
