RRIUM Srinagar Observed World Liver Day
April 19, Srinagar: The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar, celebrated World Liver Day with great enthusiasm under the leadership of Dr. Irfat Ara, Deputy Director of the institute. The event was graced by Hakeem Mohd Afsahul Kalam, Principal, along with faculty members and staff.
As part of the observance, participants took a pledge introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, committing to better liver health and lifestyle changes. The pledge stated:
“On today's Liver Day, I pledge to lead a healthier life and reduce my edible oil intake by at least 10%. I also pledge to spread awareness about fighting obesity in response to the call given by PM Narendra Modi.”
Speakers highlighted the importance of liver health and the role of Unani medicine in its preservation. The event concluded with a call for collective responsibility in promoting healthy living.
