Awareness program on the Pharmacovigilance by Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar

On 15th June 2026*, the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC) of the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine organized a Pharmacovigilance Awareness Programme at the AYUSH health and wellness centre for patients, doctors, and paramedic staff.




During the programme, Dr. Iqra Rifat, JRF Pharmacovigilance, highlighted the importance of reporting Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), explained the reporting procedures, and emphasized the role of pharmacovigilance in ensuring drug safety. Participants were encouraged to promptly report any adverse effects related to AYUSH medications.
Dr. Mudasir , Medical Officer, delivered an informative session on adverse drug reactions, focusing on the safe and rational use of AYUSH medicines.
A total of 60 patients, 2 Medical Officers, and 2 paramedic staff members(Ms Tanzeela and Ms Gousia) attended the programme. IEC materials on pharmacovigilance were distributed among the participants to enhance awareness.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation from all attendees.
