During the programme, Dr. Sumera Mehfooz, Research Associate (Unani), sensitized the local tribal community and other residents about antimicrobial resistance, highlighting how the irrational and unsupervised use of medicines can lead to drug resistance and reduced effectiveness of treatments. She also provided clear guidelines regarding the rational use of medicines and emphasized the need to consult qualified healthcare professionals before taking any medication. In addition to the awareness activities, patients attending the camp were examined and treated, and compound Unani medicines were distributed among the beneficiaries, thereby delivering both health education and essential healthcare services to the tribal population and the wider community.
