Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Programmes

AMR Awareness Programme Conducted at RRIUM, Srinagar on 30/07/2025 The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar, conducted an Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) awareness activity on 30th July 2025 within the OPD premises to sensitize patients and attendants about the growing threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of immunity in preventing infections.




Prof. (Dr.) Arsheed Iqbal, Principal and Research Officer (Unani), delivered personalized awareness messages during OPD consultations, emphasizing the risks of antibiotic misuse, the need for rational drug use, and the role of preventive healthcare. Simultaneously, Dr. Aamir Yousuf (Lecturer, Ilmul Advia) interacted with patients in the waiting area and corridors, distributing educational pamphlets on AMR that highlighted hygiene, immunity, and healthy lifestyle practices.
The activity reached over 50 beneficiaries and reflected RRIUM Srinagar’s continued efforts to integrate Unani principles with modern public health initiatives, advocating for responsible antimicrobial practices.
