As part of the 100-Day Campaign for Tuberculosis Elimination Program The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine Srinagar organized a health awareness and medical consultation camp under TSP at Mamer Village District Ganderbal J& K.
The primary objective of the camp was to promote awareness about the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and to educate the tribal community on the prevention, early detection, and effective management of tuberculosis. During the programme, Dr. Sumera Mehfooz RA (U) delivered an informative awareness session highlighting the causes, symptoms, modes of transmission, and preventive measures of tuberculosis. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of early diagnosis, adherence to treatment, proper nutrition, respiratory hygiene, and community participation in achieving the goal of a TB-free India. In this Health Camp also provided medical consultations to the attendees, addressing their health concerns and offering guidance on maintaining good health and preventing communicable diseases. The camp served as an important initiative to enhance health awareness and strengthen public participation in the national effort toward tuberculosis elimination, particularly among the tribal population of the region.
