World Environment Day-2025 | " Ending Plastic Pollution" | Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar

As a part of World Environment Day 2025 theme, “Ending Plastic Pollution Globally,” the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine organized a comprehensive cleanliness drive on May 28, 2025. The event took place within the institutes premises and extended to the scenic banks of Dal Lake, emphasizing the urgent need to preserve natural ecosystems and eliminate plastic waste.



The initiative witnessed active participation from the institute's staff, and postgraduate scholars. Leading the campaign were Dr. Suheena Khanday, Research Officer (Unani), and Dr. Anees, R.A (Botany), who encouraged the team to commit to sustainable practices and raise awareness about the environmental hazards of plastic pollution.
