The programme was started with the recitation of Qur’an by Dr. Sheeraz Mushtaque to make a good beginning. The welcome speech was given by Dr Seema Akbar (Assistant director Incharge RRIUM Srinagar). She welcomed all the participants and she appreciated CCRUM in promoting Unani System of Medicine. The purpose, importance and brief introduction of the Unani day was also given by Dr Seema Akbar.

Opening remarks were delivered by Dr Huma, who announced the countdown and other related activities to be held by the institute.

Dr. Sheeraz Mushtaque  (Reader Dept of Moalajat RRIUM Srinagar) delivered the lecture on Hayat-e-Ajmal.  He gave a valuable speech in which he throws light on the some life events of Hakim Ajmal Khan. He explained the role of Hakim Ajmal Khan in propagating the Unani System of  Medicine  and also his key role of research in Unani System of  Medicine. Then various officers and scholars of the Institute delivered the speech under the title of “Sehat  ki  Umang – Unani  ke Sang”. Then the programme was concluded by vote of thanks By Dr Irfat Ara (coordinator). She thanked all the participants and the chief guest for giving their precious time and making the  event successful.
