One day Awareness Programme on Pharmacovigilance of ASU & H drugs was held on 31th September, 2021. The programme was conducted by Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre, RRIUM, Srinagar. About 60 participants including Research officers, MD scholars and Technical officers, Research associate, SRF, and JRF from RRIUM, Srinagar attended the programme.
The programme was anchored by Dr. Suheena khanday, Program Assistant, PvC, RRIUM, Srinagar. The Programme started at 2.00 pm with the Recitation of Holy Quran By Dr. Mohammed Sheeraz Mushtaque Ahmed, Lecturer, Moalijat, RRIUM Srinagar. Dr. Seema Akbar, Assistant Director I/C, RRIUM, Srinagar, then welcomed the Chief Speakers, Prof. Zulfikar Ali Bhat and all the participants in the Seminar. She also Greeted the guest speaker with floral bouquet.
Dr Shameem Ahmad Rather Coordinator, Pharmacovigilance of ASU& H drugs, RRIUM, Srinagar delivered a speech on “Introduction to Pharmacovigilane- A central sponsored scheme”.
The guest speaker, Prof. Zulfikar Ali Bhat, Former Professor of Pharmacology at Department of Pharmaceutical Science and Phamacy in University of Kashmir then delivered a lecture on “Pharmacovigilance- Importance and Challenges”.
During felicitation ceremony, Momentos were distrubuted by Dr. Seema Akbar among speakers (Prof. Zulfikar Ali Bhat and Dr. Shameem Ah. rather) and organiser (Dr. Suheena Khanday).
The programme was concluded by Dr Towseef Rafique, Research officer, Biochemistry, RRIUM Srinagar, by proposing the vote of thanks to the guest speaker and all the participants. He thanked the speakers for the valuable information they delivered in their lectures. He also appreciated the institute for efforts to make such awareness programme possible.
