To memorize 75 years of independence under the programme " Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar organised a debate in the Avicenna Auditorium of the institute on 10-8-2022.
The topic for the debate was "Role of women in India’s Independence".
The event was inaugurated by the A. D Incharge, RRIUM Srinagar who in her Speech said that the history of Indian freedom struggle would be incomplete without mentioning the contribution of women. The history of freedom struggle is replete with the saga of sacrifice, selflessness and bravery of women. She discussed about Rani laxmi bhai, Madam Bhikaji Cama and Sarojini naidu. All the staff members of RRIUM, Srinagar, faculty members of M.D programme and M.D scholars of the institute participated in the programme. This event highlighted the legacy that Indian women showed in the history of Indian Independence by their courageous nature.
