The Integrity Pledge was adopted in the Avicena Auditorium of the institute at 11 AM on 31 st October, 2022. The pledge read by Tariq Ahmad Butt R.O(Bot) was adopted by the employees, MD faculty and MD scholars of the institute. Few citizens also adopted the pledge. Many employees were encouraged to take e-pledge by visiting the site pledge.cvc.nic.in. On 01-11-2022, a team of 6 officers and supporting staff visited Govt.Boys Middle School, Habak Zone Gulab Bagh and conducted an awareness programme with the staff of the school and school children. During the programme School Children above primary level were told the evil effects of corruption on society in general and nation in particular. A debate was conducted on the topic “Increase in conviction rate increases whistle blowing” in
Survey of Medicinal Plants Unit of the institute. In the debate the research officers (Unani, Biochemistry, Botany and Chemistry) and T.O’s (Unani) took part. During the debate all participants shared their opinions on the selected topic. It was concluded that increase in conviction rate is important to encourage whistle blowers to expose corruption. Although, the awareness programmes were conducted throughout the week but on 03-11-2022, a campaign was particularly, run in the OPD of RRIUM, Srinagar. During the campaign patients,vendors, etc were made aware of as to what amounts to corruption under different laws of the country.
They were also taught how to file a complaint if they face any corrupt practice in the institute. During the drive a lecture on awareness was delivered by Sh.Tariq Ahmad Butt, R.O (Bot),Nodal officer grievance/Vigilance Cell. A written quiz competition regarding vigilance awareness was conducted on 04-11-2022 at
RRIUM,Srinagar. The staff of the institute and MD scholars participated in the quiz. The first three winners were given a prize. RRIUM, Srinagar organized a walkathon on 05-11-2022 on foreshore road under awareness programme..The employees, MD faculty and MD scholars participated in the event. The participants
were carrying placards reading “Corruption-free India for developed Nation.” The walk started from PHC, Hazratbal to duck park to aware the public to be vigilant against corrupt practices in thesystem/society. The week long programme was ended with valedictory programme in the Avicena Auditorium of the institute.
