World Tribal Day | Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar

9 August 2025 World Tribal Day On the occasion of World Tribal Day, the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar, under CCRUM Ministry of AYUSH Govt of India organized a Tribal Awareness Camp at Chiner Village on 9th August 2025.



The event aimed to highlight the cultural heritage, rights, and socio-economic development of tribal communities, while also promoting health awareness and traditional medicine. During the camp, Dr. Sumera Mehfooz, Research Associate (Unani), delivered an insightful lecture on the significance of World Tribal Day, emphasizing its role in acknowledging the unique identity, traditions, and contributions of indigenous populations.
