Awareness program on the Pharmacovigilance by Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar

On 13th April 2026 the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC) of the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine organized a Pharmacovigilance Awareness Programme at the AYUSH Centre of District Hospital Rainawari for patients, doctors, and paramedic staff.



During the programme, Dr. Iqra Rifat JRF Pharmacovigilance highlighted the importance of reporting Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), explained the reporting procedures, and emphasized the role of pharmacovigilance in ensuring drug safety. Participants were encouraged to promptly report any adverse effects related to AYUSH medications.
A total of 60 patients, 5 ayush drs doctors (1 from Homeopathy, 2 from Unani, and 1 from Ayurveda), and 2 paramedic staff attended the programme. IEC materials on pharmacovigilance were distributed to enhance awareness.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation
