IAEC (Institutional Animal Ethics Committee) meeting | RRIUM Srinagar
On 9th May 2026, the IAEC (Institutional Animal Ethics Committee) meeting was successfully held at the Ibn Sina Auditorium, RRIUM Srinagar. The meeting commenced with a warm welcome address by the Chairperson, Dr. Irfata Ara, Deputy Director, RRIUM Srinagar, who welcomed all committee members, researchers, and participants and highlighted the significance of ethical, scientifically robust, and responsible research practices.
The meeting was attended by Member Secretary Dr. Towseef, Research Officer (Biochemistry), Main Nominee CPCSEA Dr. Azmat Alam Khan, along with other esteemed members of the IAEC, RRIUM Srinagar.
During the session, a total of 9 research protocols were presented and discussed extensively for scientific and ethical scrutiny. Detailed deliberations were carried out regarding study design, animal welfare considerations, methodological quality, and compliance with CPCSEA guidelines.
The meeting reflected the institute’s continued commitment towards promoting high-quality biomedical research and strengthening ethical standards in experimental studies related to Unani medicine and allied biomedical sciences.
