Awareness program on the Pharmacovigilance by Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar
On 15th july, the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC), Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar (NABH & NABL accredited), organized a pharmacovigilance awareness program among OPD patients and the general public within the institute premises.
During the program, Dr. Iqra, JRF (PPvC, RRIUM, Srinagar), explained the aims and objectives of Pharmacovigilance to the participants. She provided a detailed explanation of Adverse Drug Effects (ADEs) and their potential impact on patient health. She also highlighted common ADEs and discussed factors contributing to their occurrence, including drug interactions and improper dosage intake. Dr. Iqra encouraged the participants to maintain proper communication with their doctors regarding medications and to promptly report any unusual side effects.
To further enhance awareness, IEC materials were distributed among the patients and the general public.
