Celebration of 75 years of Independence: Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav “Har Ghar Tiranga” at RRIUM, Srinagar

To Observe 75 years of independence under the programme " Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar organised a debate in the Avicenna Auditorium of the institute on 11-08-2022.



The topic for the debate was "Triranga- The Strength and Courage of the Nation".

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Irfat Ara Research Office (Unani) RRIUM Srinagar. Other researcher officers also actively participated in the event. Dr Huma also gave a speech in which she talked about the meaning of Triranga . She said Tiranga means “three colours” or “tricoloured,” and it is the common name for our national flag. She further added that it's a horizontal tricolour with deep saffron at the top, white in the middle, and the Ashoka Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel in navy blue in its centre; and green at the bottom. The top band is of Saffron colour, indicating the strength and courage of the country. The white middle band indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra. The last band is green in colour which shows the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land. All the staff members of RRIUM, Srinagar, faculty members of M.D programme and M.D scholars of the institute participated in the programme. This event was focused on the bequest of the Triranga and its Nobility.
