The programme focused on educating people about the causes, symptoms, transmission, prevention, and treatment of tuberculosis, while emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, regular medication, proper nutrition, and maintenance of personal hygiene for effective disease control. During the camp, Dr. Sumera Mehfooz delivered an informative awareness session for the local residents and tribal communities, highlighting preventive strategies against TB and encouraging people to seek timely medical care in case of symptoms such as persistent cough, fever, weight loss, and weakness. She also addressed the misconceptions and social stigma associated with tuberculosis and motivated the community to actively participate in national TB eradication efforts. In addition to the awareness activities, medical consultation and health check-ups were provided to patients attending the camp, and guidance regarding healthy lifestyle practices and disease prevention was also shared.
